PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tom Barman Exhibits Photographic Work in Saint-Paul de Vence

SAINT-PAUL DE VENCE (FR) – On Sunday, June 21st, 2026, an exclusive photography exhibition by Tom Barman will open in the South of France, in Saint-Paul de Vence. Titled All This Useless Beauty, the exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the intimate, cinematic visual archive of the dEUS frontman and film director. The event is initiated by the artist trio Leroy Brothers at their independent art space, Toile Blanche Contemporary.

For over thirty years, Tom Barman has curated the soundtrack to the Belgian alternative rock scene with dEUS. But while his music thrives on waves of pure energy, his photography seeks out stillness. For Toile Blanche Sessions 11, Barman steps behind the lens to present a selection of his photographic work spanning from 2016 to 2026.

Poetry in Transit at Toile Blanche The exhibition will be presented at Toile Blanche Contemporary, the independent art space that forms an integral part of the hotel Toile Blanche, founded and directed by the Leroy Brothers. The exhibition features raw, high-contrast snapshots, often captured through the windows of a moving tour bus or in specific locations across the globe. It is the poetry of life in transit, far removed from the glare of stadium lights. Amidst these journeying images lies a highly specific, local anchor point: an intimate photograph captured during a brief artistic residency on the hotel grounds, caught in the unique atmosphere of Saint-Paul de Vence.

About the Toile Blanche Sessions The exhibition is part of the Toile Blanche Sessions, a creative event series launched by the post-conceptual artist trio Leroy Brothers. The trio considers and operates their entire Toile Blanche hotel property as a living, site-specific artwork. Within this ongoing ecosystem, every element, from the architecture and circulating capital to the guests themselves, is part of the artistic production. Alongside the independent art space Toile Blanche Contemporary, the estate serves as a vibrant meeting ground where various disciplines, creators, and culture enthusiasts converge.
