MPRSSNSM: Baptiste Caccia Challenges the Image in Post-Digital Painting
SAINT-PAUL-DE-VENCE, FRANCE — November 27, 2025 — Toile Blanche Contemporary is thrilled to announce the opening of MPRSSNSM, a powerful new exhibition featuring the work of French artist Baptiste Caccia (b.1988). Caccia was personally selected by Leroy Brothers, for a residency culminating in this unique body of work.
The exhibition and vernissage will anchor the exclusive Toile Blanche Sessions 8, an evening celebrating the intersection of contemporary art, gastronomy, and music.
The Exhibition: MPRSSNSM
The deliberately distorted title, MPRSSNSM, immediately points to the show's core theme: the inherent failure and aesthetic potential found within mechanical replication.
Caccia’s art is a visual study of the photographic medium. His practice begins with the photographic image, which is then subjected to the relentless, repetitive, and imperfect process of silkscreen. Each layer of ink and pigment is an 'impression' that transforms the printed image into a unique painting. The work exists precisely in the gap between the mechanical gesture of the printer and the abstract intervention of the painter. Through this methodical process of layering and reworking the canvas, the artist celebrates the freedom and final composition achieved only through the beautiful flaw of imperfect reproduction.
